The best 6-person tent should be easy to set up for being such a large tent and provide for your basic needs. Keep in mind, that when a tent is labeled as 6-person, it's usually a tight fit with just enough space for 6 adult sleeping bags. If you don't mind the coziness when camping with 6 people, then these are the right size for you. But if you want some more space, use a queen size air mattress, or need a gear room, then these are prefect sized for a family of 4 or less.

You cannot beat the setup of this tent. A huge drawback of large tents is how much time and people it can take to set it up. One person can set this one up in less than 5 minutes. That alone gets my vote as one of the best 6-person tents for camping.
How it works – because the poles are already attached you don't have to spend time struggling to feed the poles through the lopes. It also makes it less likely that you will lose parts. You simply pull the tent out of the bag, unwrap it, and then pull up on the center stack of pulls and it pops up almost by itself from there. Especially great for families with small kids who can't yet help very well with setting up the tent.
Size – The Coleman 6-person Instant Tent has a footprint of 10 feet by 9 feet and measures about 6 feet in height at the tallest point.
Features – The material and design of the seams keeps it fairly waterproof. It is also wind resistant. It also has many windows for ventilation.
One drawback – you do have to buy the rainfly separately.

Coleman WeatherMaster 6-person Tent with 2 Rooms and a Screen Porch Review
The Coleman WeatherMaster 6-person camping tent is larger than the Coleman Instant with a 17 feet by 9 feet footprint and measuring almost 7 feet in height at the tallest point. However part of this space is the screened porch that does not have a floor. This makes it ideal for when camping with too many bugs, such as mosquitoes, so you can sit outside and still enjoy the evening or for enjoying your meal with protection from the rain. Inside the tent are 2 more rooms.
It has the same waterproof features as the Instant Tent and many ventilation options.
Setup is not as quick as the Instant which is the only reason for a lower star rating, but the poles are color-coded and the poles fit smoothly through the sleeves – unlike tents with loops that are designed to get the poles stuck.
It does come with a rainfly.
