Coleman Red Canyon Tent Review 1

This is a great tent for camping for a group of people

The Coleman's Red Canyon tent for camping is a huge and spacious for camping that can house eight campers comfortably. It is very spacious measuring 17 by 10 feet and six-foot tall at its tallest point when fully assembled, and has from one to three rooms depending on if you use the dividers or not.

I am impressed on how quick and easy such a big tent for camping was to assemble. It takes around thirty to forty-five minutes to set up, and it can be set up by just one person, even though two people would be easier and faster. The instructions for the tent are placed in the bag by the zipper and are easy to read and understand. Just start by staking the parameter of the tent, and then install the gray poles followed by the orange poles. After that, just stake the tent to the ground, and add the dividers if you want to use them. That’s all there is to it; it is really that easy and straight forward to put the tent up.

One of the biggest benefits with this tent for camping is its ability to stay dry during some of the biggest downpours. Some tents are notorious about leaking when it rains, however this tent stays very dry which is a big plus if you are caught in the middle of a thunderstorm.

The floor of the tent is basically a tarp that is very durable. The tarp keeps the floor dry and helps protect you from the ground. Even though it is not needed, you can put a tarp on the ground before putting the tent up to give you an extra layer of protection from the ground.

Perhaps the biggest disadvantage of this tent for camping is the fact that you can’t close the side windows. Sure you can put the rain-fly on to keep the tent dry, but the open windows causes the tent to be cold during the winter. Because of this, the tent should be used during warmer weather while another tent for camping can be used in colder climates during colder weather.

Another problem that I discovered was the bag the tent came in seemed a little small. If you are careful with how you put everything back into the bag, then you should not have any problems. On the other hand, it is somewhat difficult to pack everything back into the bag.

As for the quality of the tent, it is fairly good for its price range. The tent for camping itself is made from tough taffeta material with a polyurethane weatherproof coating. The poles are made from fiberglass instead of aluminum which makes them a little weaker, but they are still plenty strong for the tent.

The bottom line is that this tent is rugged and durable, and is very spacious inside. If you are looking for a high quality tent that can hold up to strong winds and thunderstorms than this is the tent for you. This tent for camping is amazing and will make a great addition to any group camping trip.
